ABOUT
Melissa is a competitive eventer with over 20 years of experience bringing horses and riders up through the ranks in US eventing. She got her start competing on the East Coast, before heading west to Montana in 2005.
While competing throughout the Rocky Mountain West, Melissa opened and operated a premier training and boarding facility, Niceview Eventing. Eighteen years later, in 2022, Melissa returned to her geographic roots and moved her operation to Aiken, South Carolina.
When she's not at the barn, you'll find Melissa spending time with her three german shorthair dogs and her partner Graham.
APPROACH
Melissa approaches training with an eye toward the horse and rider's individual strengths and personalities.
She takes the time to identify areas of improvement and applies thoughtful training methods that build confidence and increase performance.
In addition to providing comptetition-level training for select clients, Melissa also specializes in producing off-the-track thoroughbreds to become 4* prospects.
